Tea with the Tiger Queen explores the intersection of domestic ritual and wild instinct, blending functionality with sculptural fantasy. Drawing on the visual language of everyday objects—mugs and a tea bag container—this work transforms a quiet moment of tea drinking into a scene of playful tension. The pink and green glaze evokes a surreal garden palette, while the tiger forms—gripping the mugs as handles and lounging atop the container—introduce a bold narrative layer.
Tigers, symbols of power and protection, challenge the fragility of porcelain. These are limited, collectible artworks intended for discerning collectors and lovers of fine ceramic sculpture.
This ceramic tea set consists of two matching mugs and a central tea bag container; all glazed in contrasting yet harmonious shades of pink and green. Each mug features a tiger print handle and holds approximately 13 oz. of liquid, while the container is topped with a powerful tiger reclining with feline grace. The juxtaposition of function and form encourages both use and admiration—bridging art and utility in a whimsical, tactile experience.
